Incap and KONE have signed a new co-operation agreement, significantly increasing the partnership between the two companies and positioning Incap as a global supplier to KONE Elevators & Escalators. The co-operation agreement covers the volume production of electronics and mechanics, as well as design, manufacturability, the production of pilot series and final assembly.
The electronics manufacturing and final assembly of the product range will take place at Incap’s factories in Vuokatti, Finland and Estonia. Cases and other sheet metal parts will be manufactured at Incap’s factory in Helsinki. Pilot deliveries of a new product range commenced in September and the manufacturing of the first production series will start around the turn of the year.
“This agreement is important for Incap as it will enable us to greatly increase co-operation with KONE Corporation. The new product range that we will now start producing fits in well with our production model: it is a complete product range that will benefit from our company’s many areas of expertise. The customer will receive a comprehensive package from a single supplier – easily and flexibly,” says Juhani Hanninen, President and CEO of Incap.
